Yes. I must admit that I have succumbed to the iPhone mania. I had been content to simply text and call on my Samsung Reclaim (green phone) and whenever I needed the app fix, I’d pull out my trusty iPod 2nd generation. Little did I know how much I was missing until I switched to the iPhone 4S! I am in love with its little, itsy, bitsy camera lens that packs a punch like no other cellphone camera I’ve seen. Here are links to sample photos taken on the iPhone 4S manipulated with apps such as Camera+, Photoforge2, and Instagram.
I was amazed at how well it managed to focus on objects as close as 6 inches, and impressed with its low-light capabilities. It actually sends bursts of its built in flash to help the lens focus while it’s searching in low-light conditions. You can even toggle the flash on if you need or want a continuous light source. Additionally, its automatic white balance feature was nearly spot on even in mixed lighting conditions.
If you were thinking about purchasing the new iPhone 4S for the ultra mini and portable digicam, do it!! You won’t regret it. But hurry, ’cause the iPhone 5 is right around the corner.
And on a side note…. one, yes, one of my photos was selected for a local exhibit care of Shoot For Good, an annual photography celebration of people doing good things for others. What’s not to like? I am honored and excited to have been chosen!! Exhibit opening night, November 4th. My first exhibit opening! Hey, you have to start somewhere even if it’s only one picture.
